Gateway Laboratory of Amorphous and Structured Solids and Melts. Founded in Rome in 2023 with the ERC Consolidator Grant NANOVOLC.

We work on two fronts. In volcanology: rheology, thermal properties and structure of silicate melts, dissolved volatiles and nanocrystals, and the glass transition of natural melts. In materials science: glasses and ceramics with controlled thermal and mechanical properties, made from natural raw materials and industrial by-products.
