I am an experimental volcanologist and glass scientist. I work where petrology, glass science and high-temperature, high-pressure experiments meet. I am Principal Investigator of the ERC Consolidator Grant NANOVOLC on the nanoscale dynamics of volcanic processes, and honorary staff at the Bavarian Research Institute of Experimental Geochemistry and Geophysics (BGI), University of Bayreuth.
